The best homewares and furniture stores are mostly located within the inner city suburbs so it was a nice surprise for me to find somewhere decent within the CBD range. Cult is located on Elizabeth Street just one stop on the tram after Victoria Market. First impression when I came in was that it was gorgeous. Very new, very modern and very Danish. They actually stock a large range of Danish furniture brands, so there you go. The homewares was my favourite part ( as always ) but I definitely had a look at the furniture. My favourite pieces were their armchairs and one particular marble table which looked extremely forthright.

Their lovely display of homewares on the first floor. Lots of things including cups, bowls, towels, brushes, vases and pencils and stationery 

I was into the books which you can see above that opened up into folders. I also liked the wine glasses for their laboratory vibed shapes 

The showroom is large. The bottom level is where all the homewares is located and large scale furniture is located on the second floor. Their selection and style I'd say is trendy but in a classic way. What I mean is that the styles and forms that Cult had were on trend at the moment amongst furniture and homewares instagram accounts. But despite these interiors trends coming and going, the pieces are classic and will outlive the trend phase which they are in now. They manage to hit both nails on the head.

If you remember my Christmas wish list, I included a black version of these chairs in there. I don't think they're made by the same designer but certainly it's the same look 

All of the pieces were highly desirable and comfortable. Only a selection of their collection was available on the floor but if you want to see a comprehensive collection or you're just into chairs like me, then their catalogue online is SUPER worth a look. Good shape. It reminds me of fifties furniture but done in a new twist. 

Needless to say, everything at Cult are investment pieces. But they are worth it. I'd say the whole stores aesthetic is very solid and uniform both amongst the furniture as well as the homewares too. The array of shapes and forms of their armchairs were really gorgeous. The brown one above was my favourite and I really loved the grey clam-like chair that's below as well.

This was so good! I would definitely pair this with a low rise bed and use it as a bedroom side table / night stand. I love this a lot! Absolutely stunning. It has a slight 80's space age feel which actually works. 

What wouldn't I give to hold a position in rank high enough to own this as my work table. I mean it ticks all the boxes for me in terms of good tables, stately, solid and serious looking.  ( I'm definitely going to do a spot light on Dining tables post soon. They are my favourite pieces of furniture and to be honest I wish I had a home big enough to have more than two ) 

This wasn't actually at Cult but was in the Myer beauty floor. I had to snap a photo of these because they are just SO BEAUTIFUL. The black and white Fornasetti woman designs and the floral match perfectly. Loved it. The large ones cost a whopping $800 so get your wallets at the ready! 😂 😂 😂
