LATEST PINS ON PINTEREST

Instead of making you guys go to my Pinterest ( you really should though, I'm starting to use it a lot more 😀) I thought it'd be way easier for me to compile my latest pins into a post here that's easier to show and share. Let's get right into what's getting my heart beating that much quicker.

Glass, sparkle and mirrored surfaces. It's how to do sparkle and shine in a sleek and inoffensive way

ORGANISATION INSPO

Absolutely dreamy as dreamy can be wine cellar ( or maybe wine room in itself since the sizing is basically that of a small bedroom )

I've recently become very obsessed with all things organisation. The spark moment was when I went into Office works to get something photo copied and I sort of wandered my way into the baskets and trays section. I remembered my pens drawer was a mess at home and I thought the most logical thing to do was to sort that out by putting the pens into a tray as a start. What was once a gross mess is now organised and neat with old pens not working chucked out and everything that was saved as working and ready to use. Organisational freaks know what I mean.. when you open up a neat and organised drawer you get that 'rush' which is kind of addictive.

Meyertotaal I like the mix of silver and glass in these roll out drawers

Ballard Designs ( One of my favourite podcasts comes from this brand! ) Another goal for the future is a beautiful laundry and towel closet like this with wicker baskets and colour co-ordinated towels

Glamshelf One day, I'd love to have a pantry as functional and attractive as this. I'm not a good cook at all and admittedly look toward the task with extreme laziness but maybe something as pretty as this will motivate me to start? What makes this pantry organisation so great is the silver steel. It's clean, simple and boutique all in one.

The key to a perfect plates and cups drawer is to pick with one style of cup or plate and to stick to that

Having plates and cups stand up vertical adds an extra special touch

Homes to Love Love how neat and aligned everything is on this beautiful white and bright shelf

World-Real-Estate Getting ready in the morning or un-ready at night is a real treat with all your goods and accessories laid clearly and neatly in front of your eyes
SPACES
Journelles.de
You can really see my taste transition from what it was as recently as three or four months ago into the bright, white and light rooms that are here. It's all about light coloured wood features, wide windows with light flooding in and clean and smooth surfaces. Dining areas were my focus this time around. I love a dining table with minimal decor and high ceilings abundant.

Mechant Design ( A new blog discovery that I'm super pleased about stumbling upon )
Becki Owens A proportionate delight
BEDROOMS

Wish I knew where this stunning bed frame came from, some pins don't have links back to the original post

Gravity Home The lamp is the perfect touch of playful cuteness without compromising the nordic elegance here

OUTFITS
Style Du Monde  Another new stunner of a website I've bookmarked

Lou Doillons shirt is gorgeous. Reminds me of a mix of that metallic material that was around a lot in the sixties and seventies mixed with a slight asian vibe. Soft and discreet yellow makes for the perfect undertone too.

Who, What, Wear

I'm a big fan of wearing one colour in an outfit and Kate Moss has chosen classic black and navy blue here. My favourite piece would definitely be the satin shirt ( still searching for my perfect one ) and the casually tousled hair. We love you Kate!

THE LUST LIST : CULTIVER LINEN

Linen is fast rising in the ranks of items that I spend less time contemplating about prior to purchase when I'm out shopping. So far, the only things which have made it into this category are food and clothing. I said it before in my most recent recent purchases entry  but bedding is something that touches our skin and that we use every single day. Anything that meets those two categories is well worth the spend.

" We are inspired by a way of life that embraces quality and timelessness in the things we use most frequently" Cultiver source

I'm finding bedding to even be fun to browse and look at when I'm out, something that's only ever been true for clothing and accessories so you can imagine how my interest was piqued when I encountered Cultiver on my instagram feed. Their branding is stunning. I love their use of muted colours, their design and their philosophy which aptly fits into my own in regards to daily use items.

Linen Duvet Cover Sets in Pinstripe & White

This pinstripe duvet cover is beautiful. I love that it reads as grey but up close it's the classic and versatile pinstripe pattern. Subtle patterns are perfect for bedding because they provide just enough visual texture for there to be something going on, but they aren't distracting or jarring - two things which aren't exactly conducive to creating a relaxing and calm space

Of course I had to include white into the mix as well. A heavy, white duvet is the ultimate winter dream. Waking up to a cold, crisp morning under your white duvet covers to a Saturday of toast, coffee and new youtube videos - this is my idea of heaven!

Most of you probably know that I'm a sucker for a pretty pattern and all of these are just gorgeous! Owning a quiet coloured couch is a smart idea when you can dress it up with all these pretty possibilities. Materials wise, they are made of silk velvet so you can just imagine how comfy they are against the skin.

Robes are such a luxe way to look after ourselves beyond face masks and expensive skin care. Nobody really uses them and they're not a necessity but absolutely offer that extra bit of looking after that all of us can appreciate. This one is made of Turkish Cotton and would make the best throw on after a shower or in the morning as you make your morning brew.

White is the best colour for linen. It exudes cleanliness, minimalism and ease all at once and instantly brightens up any room. I'm a pattern lover for textiles and upholstery but when it comes to bedding, all my money will be going towards white or light coloured bedding. Their linen sheet set comes in a really wide range of sizes ( surprising ) and you can tell by looking at the photos at how satiny soft they'd be in real life

A light green like this one is one of my favourite colours for both the home and in clothing. These pillow cases add some colour without being obtrusive to the eye. They are totally versatile enough to mix and match with bedding you already have as well as this green reads like grey almost.

What do you think of it in Olive? I think it's a beautiful colour way, more moody and masculine looking than the lighter shades. Would look terrific in a grey-blue room or striped wall paper. In this colour way, I'd definitely get it with matching duvet covers as opposed to mixing and matching as I'd do with the lighter shades.

Linen Tea Towels

These make doing the dishes just a bit funner ( or give you a nice reward for doing them at least with its linen-ey softness to your hands )

The Isobel Throw

I love the pattern and the oat meal colour way of this throw. I can imagine it being a super elegant piece for a couch or a bed or maybe even a blanket for yourself flying on a plane? Very versatile and beautiful piece.

It's awesome that they have a real life store open up in Hawksburn, here in Melbourne. Most linen retailers operate on an online only basis which means if you're in Melbourne, you have the chance to test out the linens and to have a feel of them before buying.

LATEST PURCHASES : Market Fair & Kmart

'Trent' Quilt Cover $14.00 | Double Bed Sheet set in White 225 count $30.00 | Pink Coffee tin $8 | Penguin Classics Mug $8

Picked up both of these coffee goodies at Market Fair. Both costed $8. Do you remember those Penguin mugs? I left mine at an old share house and never got it back so this is my new replacement

I'm probably one of the most unashamed bargain hunters ever. I love luxe things as much as the next homewares and interiors blogger, but everyone, EVERYONE wants more for less. Every single time I go into my local Kmart, their homewares area expands just a bit bigger. When I found out that they do high thread count bedding, I knew it was the perfect time for me to investigate.

White or neutral bedding is my favourite. There's nothing more beautiful than decking out your sheets and quilt covers entirely in white

My attitude towards bedding is that they are clothes for your room. You have to change them, wash them and you can 'dress' your bed up in new colours and prints to suit your mood. Plus, you use them every day, just like real clothes. I had several choices when I visited Kmart today. I could get the 500 count sheets or the 225. I opted for the 225 because they didn't have plain white in the 500 series and the 225 is actually pretty excellent quality. The material feels satiny and smooth, a lot more luxurious than you'd expect.

I was into this grid pattern. The covers are also reversible, the other side is a charcoal grey for when the mood hits you

The feel of the sheets is amazing for the ridiculously low price point. I must admit that I was dubious of it being possibly this good but I have pillow covers which are about the same thread count which I got from Sheridan for Christmas and they feel very similar. The feel of the quilt cover is pretty great as well but the star of the show really are the sheets.

In the pack, you get a fitted sheet, a flat sheet and two pillow cases. If you sleep in a single bed like me ( I've been wanting a double bed but since I'm living with my parents right now and they already have a bed for me, I can't buy nor fit one anywhere ) you can just buy a double bed sheet to use and fold the excess length. This is handy if you want a certain colour way and there's nothing in your size.

Just what I want to see, a bottomless coffee tin ✌✌✌

I will never get sick of these! It's the never ending hipster in me 😆

Who remembers the craze that was these mugs years ago? I thought they were the coolest things ever made and bit the bullet and got one for $30. That wasn't easy as I had never paid for anything beyond $2 for a mug back then but they were just so amazing I had to do it. Today? I bought this one for a mere $8. The condition is barely used, close to being basically new. There's nothing better than actually, genuinely liking a trend and being able to buy it once it's discounted. Funnily enough, the previous weeks leading up to today I was getting all these weird psychic visions of this book and today it's the title of this mug. I swear all these weird premonition things always happen to me.

I like how the font manages to give a modern twist to this otherwise very 50's coffee tin

Our coffee tin was looking really ratched so I knew it was time for a new one. I chose this one for the colour and the font. There are always so many coffee tins to choose from at these antiquey shops but I knew this one was the right one. It's also massive which means coffee won't run out quickly, saving me time and effort from having to fill it back up again. Speaking of coffee, I recently bought one of those Keep Cups which I've yet to receive in the mail but will definitely do a post on it once it does arrive.

I've been meaning to visit them for a long while, find out the details at their website here

Market fair is like Hunted and Waverley Antiques bazaar except its got more of a focus on 'makers' rather than antiques and vintage items. They do also offer antiques and vintage home wares though. The way the store was divided was exactly like Hunted and Waverley. Each stall belonged to the owner who ran it and they could decorate or VM the stall in any way they saw fit. The size of MF is smaller than Hunted and Waverley, but still a lot bigger than I expected. It's very out of the way for most people but if you ask me, you need to go out of the way to find the good stuff.

How pretty are these earrings by Honey ginger toast? If you had caught me before my eternal quest to look older, I would have bought these in a heart beat. I just love glitter and sparkle and probably always will. I can't incorporate these without making me seem younger than I am though, but in my heart of hearts, I am wishing I could wear these!

It was in really good condition and was shining out of the glass but I didn't get it

I stood by this Warhol print for about five minutes deliberating on whether I should get it or not. It was thirty dollars which is a steal but I was just hesitant and second guessing myself so I didn't buy it. I should probably compile a whole entry of the things I saw and didn't buy since there have been so many.

I'm excited to sleep in my new sheets tonight ( haha ) but tomorrow is a WHOLE day of writing, studying and working for the week ahead. My marketing certificate is getting more and more intense with assignments building up and the weeks just flying past like crazy. Hope you guys have an awesome week and see you soon in the next post
